WordPress Maintenance Plans FAQs

Like a lawyer’s retainer, the monthly time is there for you every month to reserve your place in line, therefore it does not rollover. You can take comfort in the fact that what you will request within your time will be addressed by our with immediate attention.

Any overages will be billed at my current support rate.

Hosting is provided as a complimentary service and does not affect the price of monthly maintenance plans. Just looking for hosting? Send me an email!

The whole purpose of the maintenance plans is preventative care, so I hope to prevent anything from happening. However, in the case something does go wrong, I will be there communicating with the web hosting on your behalf. I cannot promise your website will not be hacked but can promise I will do everything in my power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of your site backups.

Glad you asked! Content update requests and small design improvements are the most common requests, however, anything that can fit into your monthly support time is free game. I just ask you to be aware that requests for new features to your website will likely result in a formal quote as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time.

No one knows your business better than you! Caffeinated Web Studio requires you to provide all copy and images for your site.

Need help? I can put you in touch with a copywriter!

If you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, I will submit a quote for you to approve separately from your plan. However, many times I will evaluate requests that exceed your time on a case by case basis, and with approval, work past the time and bill for time exceeded at my current support rate of $100/hr.

Absolutely. I am all about a relationship with you and your website, so I would hate to see you go but I know financial needs weigh on many decisions and don’t want to lock anyone in. Request a cancellation via email to support@caffeinatedwebstudio.com, and I will immediately stop the next payment.

If you're utilizing the maintenance plan hosting, you will need to set up your own hosting for the site to move to upon cancellation.

Although these plans are for sites I build or re-design, I welcome clients who are looking for a long-term relationship with a dedicated webmaster.

I first like to do a Website Evaluation to become familiar with the website, how it was built and any potential issues that can arise. With the evaluation, I will perform all the "Website Updates and Monitoring" tasks and make a full backup. Most importantly I will make a list of issues to fix and suggestions for improvement needed in order to proceed with the website on a monthly plan. Based on your type of website, this Website Evaluation is a fixed $400 fee.

Termageddon is a Privacy Policy tool and their team monitors privacy laws for you and can automatically update your policy when the laws change. This is a great way to help you stay up to date and compliant with privacy laws, helping you avoid privacy-related fines and lawsuits.

Because your website likely contains contact forms to get more leads, I suggest you take advantage of this license (which is included in your maintenance plan).

Please note: I am not a privacy law expert, nor does my suggestion mean I am here to provide you legal advice. I implement these plans into the maintenance plans because I am seeing more and more privacy laws get proposed and put into effect, requiring websites collecting personal information to provide an up to date Privacy Policy.
